A borate wood preservative, WOOD RANGER is sold as INFORMATION and unmixed chemicals that have many other uses than wood preservation or about saving your property from insects! I tell pretty much all there is to say about compounding, mixing, applying and storing this great stuff. I can't mix it myself and sell it as the EPA requires a million dollar facility and licensing. No way can I afford that. This listing is aabout presevation of buildings and timbers with the proven protection of Borax and Boric Acid . It is based on a US Navy spec for timber preservation. It contains a custom mix of these chemicals designed as an insecticide, fungicide and general undercoat for sheds, barns, houses, and timbers. It will control Subterranean Termites, Formosan Termites, Cockroaches, Palmetto bugs, Waterbugs, Ants, Silverfish, Carpenter Ants, and Powderpost Beatles as well as many fungi and moulds. This stuff works great, is easy to use and won't hurt either your wallet or the environment (if used properly)!
Just what are some of the uses? Let me add that my literature for this as with most all I sel,l has several formulas for use and ratios for DOING SOMETHING with boric acid!!! For hardening steel. as a tooling life extender, as a mix in flux (which I sell in my store), fireproofing fabrics (if you stick or mig weld it will stop those annoying little holes) and weatherproofing wood; as a preservative; manufacture of cements, crockery, porcelain, enamels, glass, borates, leather, carpets, hats, soaps, artificial gems; in nickeling baths; cosmetics; printing and dyeing, painting; photography; for impregnating wicks; electric condensers.
In the health area it is used as an eyewash, an astringent, as an antifungal where it gets rid of yeast infections and an antiviral, against cold sores. Have you ever wondered about boric acid ointment???
Pest Control, it is one of the safest! It works by dehydrating the little bastards. No heavy toxins. It works against ants, silverfish, termites, roaches, earwigs and fleas, among others. You still have to keep it away from little children though , and specially babies...if they should eat it, it could kill them by the dehydration and systemic shock!!
