Coolant control unit holding mold face temperature 2º f

CCU (Coolant Control Unit) primary are used in the PET bottle molding or application (plastic injection molding) that; it is critical to hold mold face temperature. This unit will across the mold face; control temperature or cooling of the mold holding from inlet to outlet no more then a 1 to 2º F difference in temperature as per Husky recommendations. While these units were designed for the plastics industry, they would be useful in any application where this kind of temperature and flow rate control was needed. The CCU unit must be feed/supplied by local (already in your plant) chilled water; PLC controls allow setting temperature and pressure/flow the unit:
1.) PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) – Unitronics, model Vision 120 http:// with sensors on inlet/outlet of units lines controlling a:
2.) Pump - Armstrong (Vertical in-line Fire Pump) with a 20 hp Baldor Motor, to give the flow rate desired, up to 250 gpm http:// and the pump is controlled by a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Mfg. Schneider Electric/Square D, Telemecanique, Altivar – tied into the above PLC.
3.) Electrical supply required: 3 phase/ 60 hertz/ 460 volts feeding a 30 kva transformer that provides 120/208 voltages along with additional outlets on unit for other requirements.
4.) Air manifold built into Stainless Steel hollow frame tubing for used in air distribution in and around area for other requirements.
5.) Air and chiller input/outlets on top of unit
