Antique /Vintage 0-1†Helios Micrometer
This is an antique/vintage Helios 0-1†Micrometer. This tool was made in Germany and is in used but good working condition. It was used by my husband’s grandfather who was a pipe fitter/welder by trade and it was passed down through his family.
There is a dial for manually adjusting the size. The numbers 0-1†appear on one side and the letters H.L. on the other side (I am assuming this is for Helios).
The first book (dated 1945) has tape on the cover and has become detached from the spine. It is an instruction handbook from the Washburne Trade School in Chicago IL. The second book has also become detached from the spine and has old tape that was used to hold it together. It is “The Pipe Fitter’s and Pipe Welder’s Handbook†written by Thomas W. Frankland (dated 1948).
