When it comes to making an oscilloscope look like new, the front panel is the toughest. Right up front where everyone can see it, the panel takes a lot of beating over the years. Dents, scratches and those epoxyed-on tags make it look pretty natty. Often, the only way to fix it is to replace it. But where to get one? Well, here is your chance. I will be offering panels for most Tektronix tube scopes and plugins at reasonable prices.
How hard are they to replace? For the most part, quite easy. Usual time is about a 1/2 hour. Removal of connectors is usually the worst part. Take a look at your unit to see what has to come off and how hard it looks. I would be glad to give any advice I can, just email me.
