The complete system includes the following:
A operations manual, warranty information, 2 axis display, 2 linear scales and mounting hardware for the scales and display.
Microsyn - Cross slide axis for scales that are 10" or less travel
Spherosyn - Cross slide axis for scales that are 12" or longer travel
The X and Z scale resolution is 5um/.0002" or 10um / 0.0005"
The C80 is everything you could ask for in a DRO and includes a full complement of productivity enhancing features. The innovative design allows the operator to easily configure the unit for either mill or lathe specific features. In addition, the C80 includes a feed rate display that allows for longer tool life and increased cutting tool performance.

All Newall linear encoders carry an IP67 environmental rating and continually provide accurate, reliable readings even when fully submersed in water, oil or coolant. No other absolute, incremental or digital linear encoder matches the durability and reliability of Newall's Spherosyn® and Microsyn® linear encoder and scales.
Using the principle of induction, an electromagnetic field is generated within the reader head (linear encoder), interacting with ball bearings inside the scale. During axial movement along the scale, variations in the induced field are detected, processed and converted to an industry standard differential quadrature by a Digital Signal Processor (DSP).

I know the picture shows a three axis system but that is what Newall supplies to the public. If you don't like it or understand it, give Newall a call and tell them to change it, don't call or e-mail me. I already know it shows a three axis display.
The brackets supplied are UNIVERSAL brackets.
I don't stock these systems in my office. My supplier stocks these systems in their office in South El Monte Ca.
