New hd 7.5 kw generator head end diesel gas

New four-pole, 7.5 KW, self-exciting, heavy-duty, 1800 rpm, powersolutionsllc, ST generator head.
These are not your "run of the mill" ST heads, but are very special. They have a lot of copper, are built heavier, and have Western style, surface mount rectifier bridges, NO troublesome control head, No AVRs to fail and give trouble, sealed bearings greased with synthetic grease, Has metal, not plastic fan (yes, many cheap ST heads do have plastic fans and they fail in a very short time!!), and our personal two year warranty. Yes, we also have Listeroid engine parts for easy assembly, sawdust and oil feedcake pellet mills, producer gas units, oil presses, and some other low-cost diesel engines, both new and used. 5, 7.5, 10, 12, 20, and 30 KW ST high-grade heads are stocked. Please email us, sawyer335(at)gmail.com.
These heads are what provide the electrical power for many hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of third-world villages. They are designed to be run 24/7, month in and month out..
"Consumer", 3600 RPM heads you see listed elsewhere are designed to last less than 35 days (600-700 hours) in full operation, and may not last that long! Also, please be aware that other ST heads you see available elsewhere for sale probably do NOT have double slip rings, soldered connections, etc. We put extra money into the manufacturing process to have our heads made this way. They are superior, and because of it, we are able to offer our personal warranty. A clear indication of a "junk" head are the three terminals coming out the back of the control head, and/or the word "AVR" used to describe voltage control, and/or a weight under 190 pounds or so.
This head can rotate either direction, so is very easy to hook up to any reasonable source of power. This head is not factory overrun or discontinued stock. (which may mean seconds!)
It has a continuous 7.5 KW rating, and is 120/240v, 60hz, single phase.
Requires a 12-15 hp engine to develop full output.
standard 38 mm keyed straight shaft.
Brushes in the ST design carry a small amount of current, they last a long time, and should not be confused with the brushes in series wound motors like your shop vac, or Chop saw. These and similar tools have short brush lives, they often fail, and will make a mess of their commutator because they carry high voltage and high current.
We like things you can fix when they break. ST brush-style heads are simple and you can reach all parts from the outside. A brushless head has electrical components ON the rotor, such as a "capacitor" for a minimum. This capacitor must survive the G-forces and vibration, and guess what? Sometimes they don't. Replacing this capacitor is not as quick as reaching in and replacing a brush. You have to disassemble the head, pull the rotor, and THEN replace the failed capacitor. But, the ST head is a "third-world" head that was designed to function without this (and other additional) component(s).
The AC output is good enough for anything we have run including computers, and all the shop and household gear we have. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a brushless design, but if the electronic device(s) on the rotor fail, you may have further respect for the brush type head. We receive emails from folks that have had brushless head failures, and are unhappy, because most repair shops charge $60 an hour or more to work on those more complicated generators.
As for output noise, how much is there? What's the difference between the two? Why is it our TVs, radios, and direct TV boxes do not display any sign of noise on the brush head? What does this supposed improved noise reduction that brushless head sellers tout, do for the DIYer? We cannot think of any valid benefits. AND, if it isn't part of the design, it can't fail in service. Anyone can replace a brush in a minute or two, brushes are cheap, and have an infinite shelf life.
As to life expectancy, the ST style head will run many years, 24/7, (tens of thousands of hours) and only very rarely develop even a noisy bearing. These are easy to replace, and "our" ST heads even use US standard bearings. Most brushless heads are VERY light weight, and designed to last on a few hundred hours.
Please understand, ST Generators are NOT the best, just as anything less than a hydro turbine or jet turbine is not the best prime mover for a generator head. However, we feel that those of us who desire more than a "throwaway" generator head will find no better bargain than one of these ST heads.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE- PLEASE REMEMBER FOLKS, MECHANICAL THINGS CAN BE RISKY TO RUN, AND SHOULD ONLY BE LOOKED AT IF YOU WANT TO BE SAFE.
