Note that these cutters produce an involute tooth form NOT a cycloidal tooth form. If you are using lantern pinions you want cycloidal tooth form cutters. Involute gears have the advantage that they are somewhat more efficient and the pinion can be used to drive the bigger gear. Lantern pinions must always be driven by the larger gear.
Precision German made involute gear cutters. Module 0.5 and 20 degree pressure angle. Cutter teeth are fully relieved. Arbor hole is 16 mm diameter bore. The following cutters are available:
* No. 6 35 - 54 teeth (note that these cutter numbers are reversed from normal specification. This is due to the manufacturer. Please specify BOTH the cutter number and the tooth range)
* Arbor for above cutters [0.40 (10 mm) diameter shaft]
These cutters are made of High Speed Steel (HHS). They are perfect for clock gears and other small engineering projects. They can be resharpened repeatedly with no change in the form of the cutter. High quality German engineering throughout. A mounting arbor is available.
