Coating Wire Rope Lubricant - protective film. 2002 ALMASOL Wire Rope Lubricant is designed to lubricate and protect all types of wire ropes and cables and provide outstanding wear and rust protection to any heavily loaded wire rope in a corrosive environment. 2002 provides a self-healing film to reduce wear and corrosion under extreme load and moisture. It contains petroleum solvents which enhance the penetration capabilities. After the solvent evaporates, a self-healing, non-tacky film is left that is highly resistant to fresh and salt water wash off.
2002 is a fluid coating wire rope lubricant which provides a non-tacky, durable, self-healing film to reduce wear and corrosion under extreme conditions of load and moisture. It penetrates deep into the core of running wire ropes to provide protection against fretting corrosion and contains ALMASOL, LE’s exclusive inorganic solid lubricant, to reduce wear and friction. It is easy to apply by hand or spray application and requires no heating, melting or mixing prior to application. Due to superior lubrication characteristics of wire rope and sheaves, snatching is reduced. Their non-tacky surface does not allow abrasive or corrosive particles to build-up on wire rope or sheaves. Furthermore, this extreme pressure lubricant's solvent carrier evaporates and leaves a tough non-drip coat that does not sling off or run. As a result, housekeeping and clean-up are greatly reduced which leads to a safer working environment.
2002 is typically used in mining and construction applications in standing and running lines, draglines, cranes and derricks, in marine environments for cranes, hoists and drilling rigs, and for rust prevention for any metal in harsh environments and moth-balled equipment parts.
