This is a THREE VOLUME SET of very high resolution AND standard resolution PDFs of the OPERATIONS MANUAL, SERVICE MANUAL, and REFERENCE GUIDE for the TEKTRONIX 7D20 PROGRAMMABLE DIGITZER. The Operators manual is in COLOR CODED through out and has, naturally, been scanned in color to take advantage of this feature. All three were scanned from the original manuals. All three manuals are indexed for easier navigation, and the Standard Res PDFs of all three are text searchable, creating the most versatile navigation system available.

Please note that vendors listing more pages in the Operator's and Service manuals have added advertising and/or shareware begging pages to their "quality" manuals. This fault increases their "page count". (Marketing tricks are just wonderful, aren't they?)
Besides the usual operating instructions the Operator's Manual has extensive examples of practical applications and over 100 pages of GPIB programming information with comprehensive sample programs. This is one of the best GPIB tutorials to be found. As usual, the Service Manual includes complete information on service, maintenance, calibration, parts, circuit board layouts, schematics and etceteras.
Two PDFs of each manual are provided, in two resolutions. One is:
Text with Drawings at 600dpi black and white
Schematics at 600dpi black and white
Text with photos at 600dpi grayscale with contrast adjusted
Schematics, board overlays that have color notes at 600dpi 256 colors
This resolution looks nice, but for many purposes uses excessive resources. Being limited to very high res alone is kind of like driving to work every day on a tractor when you could have had the choice of using that or a Ferrari. You can copy the large files to the hard drive in an attempt to achieve maximum performance, but having that be a necessity is certainly of no benefit to you. Therefore, although it's great to have this resolution for those times you need higher definition (printing, mainly), we include a second set of scans in standard resolutions for daily research and use on the bench.
The second set of scans is done in resolutions that vary depending on individual page content, but are never higher than needed to produce a useable quality, quickly navigable file that will do the job without consuming more time and resources than are needed.
On the CD you'll receive the large "very high resolution" files, plus the smaller, faster and often more useable text-searchable versions. ALL original manual pages are supplied. Some vendors proudly advertise page counts and file sizes, but since those counts and sizes are often artificially inflated with advertising, shareware beg screens and/or blank pages, we refrain from joining them and instead assure you that these manuals are complete and are scanned in the specified resolutions.
