If you have worked on any Tektronix 500-series oscilloscopes, you know what these are for. These precision wirewound resistors are used in the plate loading circuits of many Tektronix 500-series oscilloscopes. They sometimes become noisy and intermittant, causing the trace to jitter in one plane ot the other. They can even harden with age and actually break when touched. And they are for the most part impossible to get. I have a few which I salvaged from scopes being parted out.
