Timebase is mains AC - works with 50 Hz and 60 Hz. This gives excellent long-term accuracy.

The clock kit is fully inclusive, and is a really enjoyable and satisfying project to complete, with a truly beautiful item for your home at the end, to show for all your hard work. It also makes a great gift - either the kit or the fully finished clock.

- 4 X IN-12 Nixie tubes for hours and minutes
- 2 X IN-17 Nixie tubes for seconds
- 2 X Neon bulbs for hours:minutes separators
- 44 socket pins for the IN-12 Nixie tubes (Often called 'Mouser' pins, they are actually gold plated sockets made by Harwin)
- Double sided, plated through hole PCB
- Fully pre-programmed microcontroller, with socket
- Part machined case in European Oak complete with full hardware pack including laser-cut cover and all the screws necessary to mount the PCB, power input socket and attach the cover.

The kit comes with (by email) a 20 page fully detailed user instruction guide to assembly. The assembly instructions include many detailed photos, and step - by - step instructions for building, testing and using the clock.

Sandpaper and other finishing materials are not included.
Just about everything else is!
The two buttons have the following functions:
Press and hold 'Set / Blank' button for 3 seconds until the seconds flashes '24'. Toggle between 12 and 24 hour modes by pressing the 'Up / Reset Secs' button.
Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' again and the minutes will flash. Press the 'Up / Reset Secs' button to set the minutes.
Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' again and the hours will flash. Press the 'Up / Reset Secs' button to set the hours.
Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' again to revert to normal clock operation.
Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' button to toggle between display modes:
Blank - save tubes or for night time
Fading digits - digits softly fade in and out
From normal clock operation, press and hold 'Up / Reset Secs' button for 2 seconds. Seconds will be set to zero, and held until the button is released.
The finished clock board is very slim.
