Klein Optical Convergence Gauge CM7AG
This is an optical test instrument for measuring convergence on color CRT displays; used by manufacturing, repair, OEM color monitor companies worldwide. According to our research, this gauge works on the principle of optical reconvergence, measuring the amount of reconvergence necessary to define the convergence error present. Misconvergence displays itself as white areas or lines that have a tinge of RGB. The Klein model CM7AG gauge contains three prisms, each passes one of the phosphor colors of the CRT. The stationary center prism is a reference; the outer two prisms shift. Rotating the outer prism makes the image beneath it appear to shift. The amount of shift is calibrated in millimeters. The gauge scales read the convergence error present when the three colors of the image shift into optical reconvergence.
