The Brother HS-70A wire EDM was developed to provide affordable quality. With the new AE (anti-electrolysis) Generator linear glass scales and larger workpiece capacity of 770 lb, the HS-70A is designed for stamping tool and die, medical parts (titanium alloys), production parts and form tools including PCD. The new generator can achieve a surface finish of 0.32µm RA.
The HS-70A is equipped with a new user/machine interface with 10MB memory, 3D graphics and 12.1" large color display. The new fast automatic wire threading (15 seconds) and new spark generator help increase the machine productivity. The max cutting speed in steel on the HS-70A is 28in2/hr.
