Sled lock padlock- big ol' padlock-snowmobile tracklock
This is a very interesting and unusual lock. It was manufactured for snowmobiles. It is app.17" long and 3/4" wide(the width between the two bars that connect to the padlock). These 17" bars are not movable as the padlock swings open from one bar and remains connected to the second bar. There is a handle on one end and the padlock on the other. This lock can lock up to three sleds together with one lock, by connecting through the skis. It is case hardened steel with a protective covering. It includes a bright red flag(located on the tip of the handle end) to alert unit is in place. It can lock the track on the snowmobile and is installed on the track, above rear idler. There is a cap to cover where the key goes into the padlock and two keys for the lock. While this was originally manufactured for sleds, it can be used for many other items. Lock recreational vechiles to trailers or docks as long as they fit between the 3/4" bars. Would also work on gates or other items you want to lock down, as long as what you want to fit this lock around will go between the two bars with the 3/4' wide opening. There is a p.o. box address for the company that manufactured them on the lock, but this is no longer in use by the company that manufactured them. They come with an instruction sheet attached to them. It gives the instructions on the back and a brief description on the front of the sheet.
