The next generation of Searchline / Personal Escape Rope. Our exclusive RETRO-REFLECTIVE strand is woven through the sheath for excellent visibility in low light situations. Innovative sheath design features a 50/50 mix of Technora (better than Kevlar) for heat resistance, strength and cut resistance, and polyester for high visibility and an indicator for excessive heat exposure. The Nylon core provides cross section stability during rappels and offers some forgiveness in "shock load" situations. Personal Escape Ropes (PER) are a one-time, single person lifeline that have become standard equipment in the fire fighting community. As opposed to hollow core (flat) searchline, our rope remains firm and round making it much easier to be located by feel with gloved hands. UL Certified to NFPA 1983 standards for Personal Escape Ropes.

The photo below was taken on 4/20/04 shortly after a devastating tornado ripped through downtown Utica (it missed our store by 2 blocks). While 7 people were rescued alive, eight fatalities were eventually recovered from the wreckage. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all the fire and rescue workers, the Salvation Army, Red Cross, FEMA, IEMA, State, County and Municipal law enforcement agencies, and hundreds of volunteers who helped our community in its time of need.
