these are clean, would probably consider them to be medical grade...
these were called "wedges" for a linear accelerator... they formed the low energy beam to conform to missing tissue, etc... a shielding material of sorts... and energy.... not of any way involved in changing the base metal..
... they were used in a photon beam of low energy... not high enough to do anything to the base material...shielding material, very clean environment
