This unit is ideal for those who are servicing the great old vacuum tube boat anchor radios, in the ham shack, or in a teaching environment, The "F" is rugged, very frequency stable after warm up, easily repaired and very reliable. The step attenuator in combination with an analog meter ( as in ALL URM 25 series instruements) and therefore provides a very easy way to determine signal level. As with any type of RF generator, one could use fixed external attenuators in various combinations for specific requirements. We recommend a frequency counter used in conjunction with this generator to ensure maximum accuracy.
