Available at our Kercher Street Warehouse in Scenic Miamisburg, Ohio, is this "EXCELLENT" Kent Model KGS-250, 8" X 18" Hydraulic Surface Grinder, S/N 850960-1, Manufactured New in October of 1985. Why Kent called it an 8" X 18" surface grinder is mystery as the "X" travel is 21" and the "Y" travel is 11". The maximum distance from the top of the chuck to the centerline of the spindle is 13", with the minimum being 2". With a 1/2" wide wheel it will actually grind 10" X 20". This machine just came from service last week at a small job shop in Cincinnati, OH where the owner decided to retire. It is in excellent operating condition and still looks good with the original paint. It is equipped with an 8" X 20" Kent Permanent Magnetic Fine Line Chuck, Flood Coolant with slash guards, and a Showa Oneshot Lubrication System. The table travels on ball bearing ways. The main spindle motor is 2HP/220V/3PH/60CYC. This grinder weighs 2,420# dry, which attests the value this builder puts on accuracy.
