Mega-bright white 1 watt led
This is an extremely bright 1 watt white LED. Mounted onto a 20mm diameter aluminium disk. Connection to the LED is by 2 solder pads on the front surface of the disk, marked + and - (see picture)

Recommended forward current: 350mA
Typical forward voltage 3.3V - 3.5V (see below for notes on suitable resistors)
THESE LEDS ARE EXTREMELY BRIGHT, DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THEM WHEN LIT.

In order to connect these LEDs to higher voltages you will need to add a resistor in-line.
For 5.0V......use 4.7ohms, minimum 1W rating.
For 12.0V......use 27ohms, minimum 3W rating
We can supply the 1W resistors at 16p each and the 3W ones at 20p each. We can also supply various other accessories, such as heat-shrink tubing, mounting clips, sockets etc. Just ask for details.
