This item is a CH220 breaker by Cutler-Hammer. Series K. It is rated at 120/240 volts, Has 2 poles, for runninng a 240 volt circuit, and will trip at 20 amps. It is not GFI. If you have any questions about suitability I can try to help, but you should talk to a qualified electrician. You should never put too large a breaker on a circuit, as you may burn your house down. Although I am not sure, and you should check your local codes, I believe a 20 amp breaker requires a minimum 12 gauge wire.
