One unique feature of this meter is its Mechanical Protection, which prevents user from incorrect inputs. Special sliding jack protection system covers incorrect banana jacks as function is selected. Only the correct jacks are exposed to accept banana plugs as function switch is turned. Examples: When voltage, ohms or capacitance selected, the current jacks are closed/covered. When current is selected, voltage is closed/covered. This way, you will never have to worry about plugging into the wrong socket and burn the fuse. This is a great feature if this meter is being used by non-professionals, such as students and trainees
